Introducing the Award Winning Cooley Irish Whiskeys

Carlsberg-Cottingham is delighted to welcome to our portfolio select Irish Whiskeys from the award winning Cooley Distillery. Recently named 2010 “Distillery of the Year” by Malt Advocate, Cooley has now made a clean sweep of all major whisky awards. The 2010 trophy sits beside World Distiller of the Year 2008 (IWSC), European Distiller of the Year 2008, 2009 (IWSC), Irish Distiller of the Year 2007 (Icons of Whisky), and World's Best Whiskey 2009 (IWSC).

Glenfarclas named Best in Class four times at the IWSC

Four expressions of Glenfarclas have been named Best in Class at the recent International Wine & Spirit Competition. Glenfarclas 12 Years Old, 21 Years Old and 25 Years Old were named Best in Class and won Gold. Glenfarclas 105 has been named Best in Class and won Silver. In addition Glenfarclas 40 Years Old and Glenfarclas 17 Years Old won silver.

Drink Guinness Draft to win a trip to Shanghai Expo 2010!

Cooley named Distillery of the Year by Malt Advocate

Carlsberg-Cottingham is proud to announce that the newest edition to our portfolio - Cooley Distillery, Ireland’s only independent whiskey distiller, has been named Distillery of the Year at the 16th Annual Malt Advocate Whisky Awards. The Whisky Awards run by the Malt Advocate, North America’s leading whisky magazine, recognise excellence in the world of whisky. Now in their sixteenth year, these awards are the oldest and longest-running annual whisky awards program. They honour the world’s greatest whiskies and distilleries, and the individuals who make and promote whisky around the world.

7-11 Beer Festival Opening Night and Ceremony

The Carlsberg-Cottingham booth was definitely one of the most popular at the 2010 7-11 Beer Festival held in Kaohsiung in July.

The opening night was one to remember. The torrential rains dried up just in time for the opening ceremony which included a memorable speech by our very own CEO Mike Cottingham.
