Savanna Dry was launched in May 1996, in a bottle because back then everything was in cans. And all the cider was so sweet, only women were looking at it. So in came the unique dumpy bottle shape to chase after the unique dumpy manly drinker. The name was dry and like the African savannah, a bit out there somewhere.

It is a lighter lunchtime option and is lower in calories which is popular with the female target market.
